celebrate多用作及物动词,跟节日、胜利、成功或类似性质的词作宾语,不可以接人,也不可接that从句。

celebrate也可用作不及物动词,作“庆祝”或“热闹一番”解。作“欢乐”解,是口语用法。

celebrate作“歌颂,赞美”解,是及物动词,后面的宾语可以是事物,也可以是人。
