fond常用于肯定句中,可加very, awfully, enthusiastically, exceedingly, passionately等副词修饰,以加强语气,但前面不可加much或very much修饰。

I am fond going to the movie this afternoon.

正 I want to go to the movie this afternoon.

She is much fond of reading poetry of the Tang Dynasty.

正 She is very fond of reading poetry of the Tang Dynasty.
